ASSISTANT’S WORKSHOP
The Assistants Workshop is designed for Montessori classroom assistants, parents, administrators, or anyone else who is interested in learning about the Montessori philosophy and how it is used in the classroom.
The workshop will address the role of the adult who supports the directress to maintain the equilibrium of a Montessori prepared environment. Focus on the assistants work will include the art of observation and how to discern a need for intervention without interference. Attendees will learn how to allow the child to become more independent. Understanding Dr. Montessori's philosophy of freedom and discipline will lead to gaining the children's trust while creating an atmosphere of mutual respect.
