MONTESSORI PROGRAMS

It is necessary for the teacher to guide the child without letting him feel her presence too much, so that she may always be ready to supply the desired help, but may never be the obstacle between the child and his experience.

 PRIMARY PROGRAM

This program is made up of children ages three to six years sharing the same classroom. In this setting the children learn from each other, and they learn to respect each other's work and personal space. They take an active role in maintaining their environment, which is divided into four main areas: practical life, sensorial, language and mathematics. The basic academic curriculum is enriched by science, art, music, and movement experiences. Each activity responds to the children's need for movement, independence, language, and self-confidence. Students continue to learn Spanish as a second language.
