Director
Silvia C. Dubovoy, Ph.D.
Dr. Dubovoy is a primary level trainer, lecturer, consultant, and examiner for the Association Montessori Internationale worldwide. She has been involved in Montessori education since 1965, as a parent, board member and coordinator of her children's school. Dr. Dubovoy holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, a Master's in Psychological Research and Intervention, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Barcelona . She also has the AMI Primary, AMI Special Education, and AMI Assistants to Infancy Diplomas. Dr. Dubovoy is a Board member of AMI, headquartered in Amsterdam , since 1982 to this date. She is one of the AMI representatives to the United Nations. As a psychologist she studied and worked with Dr. Carl R. Rogers, a humanistic psychologist.

Montse Aizpuru
Mrs. Aizpuru holds the AMI Primary Diploma (3-6yr.). She also studied buisiness administration at Universidad Autonoma de BC. She is a mother and has been working with MISD since 2004.
Office administrator
Jacquelyn Moss
Office administrator, Jacquelyn Moss, comes to MISD having previously worked for more than two years at the North American Montessori Teachers' Association (NAMTA), a teachers organization located in Ohio and affiliated with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). With NAMTA, Ms. Moss planned national conferences and events for Montessori teachers, and also coordinated the travel and display of a touring exhibit showcasing 100 years of Montessori education around the world. She has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Ohio University (Athens, OH) with a concentration in Communication and Spanish.
English Toddler Directress
Ivonne Olimon
Ms. Olimon holds the AMI Primary Diploma (3-6yr.) and the AMI Assistants to Infancy Diploma (0-3yr.) from MISD. She worked as both an AMI Primary and A-I guide. She is also the mother of one child.
Spanish Toddler Directress
Corina Allende
Mrs. Allende holds the AMI Primary Diploma (3-6yr.) and the AMI Assistants to Infancy Diploma (0-3yr.) She has a Masters degree in Political Science ( Argentina ) and a Masters degree in classical language ( Italy ). She is currently enrolled at Loyola College to finish her Masters in Education. Corina also works at the University ( Tijuana ) as a professor of Globalization and Economic Development. She has been a consultant for Elementary schools in Tijuana , Mexico . She has four children and all four of them have been in Montessori schools.
Toddler Assistant
Lily Garcia
Mrs. Garcia has been working as the Spanish speaking assistant in the Toddler Community since 2003. She is also currently studying at Southwestern University to complete her Associate Teacher Certificate. She has one child.
English Primary Directress
Jenny Paynel
Mrs. Paynel holds the AMI Primary Diploma (3-6) from MISD. In addition she has a B.A in Studio Art from Mills College , as well as a M.Ed. in Montessori Education from Loyola College . She has two children.
Spanish Primary Directress
Georgina Gavaldon
Ms. Gavaldon holds the AMI Primary Diploma (3-6) and is currently working on her AMI Assistants to Infancy (0-3) certification. She completed her primary training at MISD in 2007 and has been working at MISD in a variety of positions ever since. She has assisted the training center and has worked as a Spanish Directress in both the toddler community and in the primary classroom.

Claire Droge
Ms. Droge holds the AMI Primary Diploma (3-6) from MISD. She has B.A. in Psychology from the University of Hawaii as well as an M.Ed in Montessori Education from Loyola College in Maryland. She has worked as a Primary Guide in various schools since 2003.
Spanish Primary Directress
Liliana Diaz
Mrs. Diaz holds the AMI Primary Diploma (3-6). She has worked as a Spanish speaking assistant teacher at MISD since 2007.
